Location of Old Swan in Census Records

Hi,
Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
I am going crazy searching through the census records (in particular 1881 & 1891) trying to find the parish/sub-registration district/enumeration district for the Old Swan area of Liverpool.
I can't find my family by normal searches so I just want to find the address I have to see who is living there. The addresses I have are 8 & 22 Glass House Lane.
Is there an internet site that anyone knows of that I could maybe type an address in and get the census enumeration district? Maybe I'm dreaming...
Thanks
Leonie

You can search by address on
www.findmypast.co.uk but you need to buy credits to use the site.
I'll have a look at my 1891 disc set and see if I can find the answer.

On the 1891 census Glasshouse Lane was RG12/3000 folio 140

Just had a quick check on FMP using the street search and Glasshouse Lane didn't show up in either 1881 or 1891. However, using the 1891 reference provided by Ed Officer, RG12 - 3000 - 140 - Page 61, takes you to Glasshouse Lane. It is enumerated between Springfield Street and Backers Row with only 3 dwellings occupied.
It is not shown as being in Old Swan.
Registration District: West Derby - Sub District: West Derby (Rural).
Enumeration District: 18 - Ecclesiastical Parish: All Saints.
Civil Parish: West Derby - Municipal Borough:
Address: 6 Glasshouse Lane, West Derby, Lancashire.
If you can't find the families you are looking it may be down to a transcription error. Post what you have and we'll have a go!

Thanks Hilary & Dickiesam,
Looked at 1891 and found address but the family must have moved on by then.
I already had marriage certificate for Edward Barratt (snr) and Ann O'Connor but just purchased the record from Liverpool History Projects. I was hoping to track the family back further in time through the addresses and that of their witnesses.
13th June 1886 - Marriage at St Oswald RC, Old Swan.
Edward Barrett and Ann O'Connor.
Edward's address - 22 GGlass House Lane. Father Edward Barrett.
Ann's address - 8 Glass House Lane. Father John O'Connor.
Witnesses - Edward O'Connor - 63 Dryam St, Liverpool
Mary Ann Ferguson - 8 Glass House Lane
On Marriage certificate it says Edward Barratt's father Edward Barratt is deceased.
By 1891 Edward & Annie Barratt are living at 4/20 Tatlock street, Liverpool. Their daughter Elizabeth's baptism was at Our Lady of reconciliation on 26/11/1889.
Hope this is written clearly and makes sense.
Thanks
Leonie

Hello Leonie,
Fairly confident this is Anne in the 1881:
O'CONNOR, John - Head - 54 - 1827 - Dock Corn Porter - Ireland.
O'CONNOR, Ann - Wife - 54 - 1827 - Ireland.
O'CONNOR, Ann - Dtr - Single - 15 - 1866 - Printers Assistant - Ireland.
O'CONNOR, Thomas - Son - 11 - 1870 - Scholar - Liverpool.
RG number: RG11 - Piece: 3597 - Folio: 5 - Page: 5.
Address: 15 Court, 3 House, Burlington St, Liverpool.
Given that Thomas was born abt 1870, looked for him in 1871 and I found the family here with lots of childer and rellies!
RG10 - Piece: 3767 - Folio: 65 - Page: 34.
Address: 44 Ford Street, Liverpool.
Edward is being very elusive! Wondering if he was born later than 1858 [from the 1891] and this may be him in 1881:
RG11- Piece: 3603 - Folio: 102 - Page: 28.
Address: 22 Beacon St, Liverpool.

Thanks Dickiesam. I had a feeling that was my O'Connor family so that's good that someone else came to the same conclusion. I'll investigate them further.
Edward Barratt is a REAL problem to me x 3!!! I will tell what I have on my 3 Edwards and I'll try to make it easy to read.
Edward (1) is possibly Edward b1811 in Ireland. It has been suggested to me that he is the Edward Barrett who is at Spencers Court, Dale St in 1841, Bispham St in 1861 & Epsom St in 1871. The main reason that he is a match is because I know for certain that Edward Barratt (1, 2 & 3) were all cabinet makers. This one from 1811 was a joiner.
Edward (2) is the Edward we are talking about in this post. He married Anne O'Connor in 1886 at St Oswald, Old Swan. They both lived at Glass House Lane at that time. The biggest problem with this Edward is the different birth years that come out depending on what record you read. His marriage has him aged 25 (b1861) and his 1923 death has him aged 59 (b1864). In the 1891, 1901 & 1911 census (and the 1861 & 1871 if he is son of Edward b1811) his birth year would be 1858. So - 1858 to 1864.
Edward (3) is the Edward that came to Australia and is my husbands grandfather. Another problem child...
Thanks for your help and patience.

Not that I always believe what I read on an Ancestry tree... but there is one on Ancestry with Edward b1811 in Ireland.
If this tree is correct it can't be my Edward (1). The person who wrote the tree has a direct line to this Edward through his mother being a Barrett and the granddaughter of Edward b1857.
I may have to find another Edward Barratt/Barrett...
- All of the BDM certificates that I have for this family it's Barratt but the church records spell it Barrett.
