Sorry Erika but number 2 on your list will not be possible as a look up as you don't know the name of the church. That one you will have to get from either the GRO or local register office.

Thanks for that Hilary.

Let's hope it's one of the other 2 that's mine

I'm just trying to cut down cert ordering at the moment. Have just sent for loads before the price rise and have still got a list to do

Cheers

hiya Erika...are you looking for the father of Alexander or the prospective wives ?
on www.lan-opc.org.uk/Search.indexp.html there are 3 babtisms in Liverpool for Alexander Campbell from 1880 to 1895
1 in 1887 ...this child dies and 2 years later the same couple name the next son exactly the same
Henry Alexander Campbell son of Henry Campbell and Maria
both these children babtised in St Cuthberts ,Everton,Liverpool

Alexander Campbell b 26th November 1889
babtised 9th Dec 1889 at St Mathias , Liverpool
father Alexander Campbell mother Margaret
abode 112 Great Howard St
occupation farrier
so it would appear that IF any churches match what you are looking for or the address there`s a chance ...anyway,,have a look yourself ,you might just see something you recognise on lan opc...good luck...allan :)

Hi Allan

I am looking for the marriage of Alexander, but he was born in Scotland in 1888 and came to Liverpool sometime after 1901.

I have this week sent off to LRO for the marriage certs for Alexander and Margaret Hollinghurst and Margaret Fogarty. I gave them loads of additional info, so hope if they don't match I'll get my cheques returned :D

The other Alexander was checked for me but wasn't the right one either.

It's just a process of elimination, not even sure he got married

Thanks for your interest and help

Cheers

Heck Erika, you didn't add those onto the look up list for me last week, could have saved you a couple of bob. Sorry I missed them.

I think everyone has! I've been waiting delivery for two certificates for a fortnight almost. I expect they've had a surge of orders...

Thanks Mary, but Hilary said my Alexander & M Fogarty wouldn't be possible as I didn't have a church and previously Katie had said the Tuebrook records were still at the church, for the other marriage.

So don't worry yourself, I'm just hoping if they are wrong I'll get my cheques back

Cheers
