That wasn't easy as I don't have a street index, it might have been better if you had given the details as to how you had connected this family to the address, perhaps a birth certificate or such like, but I managed to find them at last.

I cannot help with occupants, but on a 1930s map, Fairchilds Farm is shown as on the east side of Fox's Bank Lane which skirted the east side of the Halsnead Park estate. It was almost opposite the entrance to Halsnead Park where there was a lodge .

Thanks Everyone especially Mary A for the info regarding the Waltons living at factory row/ Fairchild Farm Whiston. this has thrown the cat amongst the pigeons as James Walton who was residing at Factory Row the Fairchild Farm no longer appears to be the one I am after although i have had this same info but have since been told the James Walton I know was born in Stalybridge on the 12th August 1892.

Hi
So James was born in 1892, is his father's info still the same?
Stalybridge is a tough one.
In the olden days part was under Ches & the rest under Lancs.
I can't find his birth in 1892 freebmd index sep or dec qtr.

Hi,
There is no William Walton at the farm in 1911.
James Walton is 54, a farmer, and married to Ann 53.
James was born in Prescot.
There are also two children with surname Dimond, living at the farm.
It says they are adopted boarders, birthplace USA, but residents of UK.
There are other people listed if this will help.

I have a picture on my website at
http://www.prescot-rollofhonour.info of James Walton of the Dragoon Guards, who Died of Wounds on 21st May 1915.
He is listed on the Prescot War Memorial and was also shown in the Prescot Reporter list of May 1915 which showed men serving with the forces.
However, I have been unable to confirm any personal information about him. He may, or indeed may not, be reklated to the Wlatons discussed in this thread.
