Hello

I have been trying to trace information on my mother who died in 1954. Her mother died in Walton Hospital in 1922 when my mother was approx 1 year old.

The Central Reocrds Office have been very helpful and provided me with info from the above cottage home where my mother was placed in 1930 but I would like to know what might have happened to her between 1922 and 1930 and I have run out of ideas of where to go next.

Can anybody point me in the right direction please?

Hi and welcome to the forum,

I think it will be very difficult to find out very much for the time period without a clue, I think you may have to search the records of various orphanages just to see if she was listed.

If you have seen the Admission Record for the Cottage Homes Records, does it give any indication of who placed her there?
