Peers/Henderson marriage

My great aunt was born Georgina H Peers in Toxteth in 1918. The problem is I can't find any trace of her parents' marriage although her birth registration shows her mother's maiden name as Henderson. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance

Could she be the youn gest child of a large family|? If so how about this William Peers married Catherine Henderson 1894 at St peter's Liverppol. this was on
www.lancashirebmd.org.uk
I'd have a look at this couple on 1901 and 1911 census to seee if any of the other children's name seem familiar.

Hillary.
I found another:
George PEERS Bn June Qtr 1915 Tox park, Liverpool
I have searched all sites bar familyrelatives.org (I can't view records on there at peresent) for a PEERS-HENDERSON Marriage Anywhere in England, No Luck so far.
Oops! sorry I missed that one!

Just in case it helps, a couple of my grandmother's children were indexed in her first marriage name, the birth certificates quoted both that and maiden name on them, so it was confusing.
If this is the case the only way you are going to sort it out is by the birth certificate.

Thanks for the prompt response everyone. I don't know anything about her family as she is a great aunt by marriage. I saw the George Peers birth and thought it odd to call children George and Georgina!
I'll have a look for the couple married in 1894 and see what I can come up with. Otherwise I think I might have to go the birth certificate route.
Thanks again

Hi Barb
In 1911-12 William & Catherine had a son aged 1 month..called William so they were still having kids..with her name being Catherine H shes gotta be Catherine Henderson Peers i would guess...
Living with the Peers family at 91 Stanhope St Toxteth was William Peers mother In Law Catherine Henderson aged 60 born Dublin , also William's brother George Peers aged 47.
Catherine Henderson's hubby was Douglas Henderson from Glasgow born 1848..hes on the 1901 census..

This looks as if it could be the right family - maybe my Georgina H was named after her uncle.
I might still go the certificate way as well to make sure. It's another instance of the more modern searches being harder than the way back whens. I didn't even know her name was Georgina until I checked the marriage, she was always known as Aunty Ena. You live and learn
Cheers and many thanks
Barbara
PS Poor Catherine still producing babies 20 years plus after her marriage!

Good job you've got the family history sorted then, Tina. Imagine some poor descendant trying to find a Georgina who turned into a Tina!
Cheers
