Hello Barry,
Have you asked the Liverpool Coroner's Office if their records go back that far? You could be in luck and get a copy of the inquest and autopsy report.

Just to add Agnes was 54 when she died.
Probably not what we now know as SADS as it seems to affect young people 20ish.
Old papers we can look at online for Lpool finish in 1900.
I'm sure the peeps here will be of help with regard to records at LRO.
All the best to you.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

As advised old newspapers are available online but only up to 1900. You may wish to check this link old newspapers online

At the date you are interested in, a look up will depend upon whether anybody visiting the Liverpool Record Office has time to spare from their own researches, fingers crossed.

I was in Liverpool RO this morning and I looked up the inquest,

It just said Suffocated, ? Mouth, I couldn't read the writing properly, but it gave Agnes's address ? Johnson Street Walton. I couldn't find anything in the Liverpool Echo.

The Walton area would be covered by the Liverpool Echo that Jan has already searched.
