Elliots in 1840s?

Could anyone shed any light on any flu or other outbreaks in Liverpool during the 1840s?

My ancestor Thomas Elliot, his wife Mary and two of their children disappeared off the census by 1851. I don't think they moved away as the youngest daughter turns up living with her sister and her husband. Other sons appear living with other relatives in the city.

I have not been able to track down a death record for any of the missing family.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Hi Lis,

Have a look at this link, it may be a case of finding if there are any deaths of the family in the indexes between 1841 and 1851, may be a bit difficult though because I don't think ages were recorded on the death registers back then, but I may be wrong.

Thanks Jan

Plenty of options there!!! Not a good time to live somewhere like Toxteth Park.

Will continue to search.
