I have found another French soldier on the Town Hall Roll of Honour and would be glad of a look-up in a directory of the period, please, as he must have had some Liverpool link:
DECOUCHE, Soldat E.A., 3rd d'Enfric.

Hi Daggers
Sorry nothing in 1911.
He would have to be the head of the household to be listed in a Directory.

Cheers

That looks like him. In FreeBMD he is down as Arthur, married in 1910 [W. Derby reg'd] and two children.
French army records have him as disappeared and presumed dead in April 1918, also put 'Arthur' before 'Emile', so the Town Hall entry is wrong.
It also shows the wrong title for his regiment.
Thank you for helping.
