Perhaps you could give us the details from the 1901 census, the "where born" is usually more important than the "perhaps she is living" bit. We usually like to see whatever evidence is available for ourselves too, so please include the reference from the census.

Please as Mary asked could you post the 1901 census reference so we can find it or the whole census entry.

Have you want of their children's birth certificates to prove that Mary Jane Woodward is the lady you want? If you have I suggest you purchase the marriage certiciate of the couple. The marriage took place in 1895. This will give the couple's father's names and will be helpful infinding them before marriage. You can either download the form on www.lancashirebmd.org.uk and send it to the register office named on it or find the relevant GRO reference and order the marriage certiciate on line from the GRO.

For anyone looking for this entry the family is transcribed as Jennson on Ancestry. The ref is RG13 /3524 Folio 76 page 29

For you to find out more about Mary Jane you need to get the marriage certificate which will give you her father's name and that will help you to search for her and her family in earlier censuses.

Has Stan confirmed to you her father's name to ensure you have the correct family?

Perhaps you could share on the forum as these posts remain here and are useful for future searchers as they are often found doing a googlesearch.
