Hi Gang trying my old Cook case again...
My eyes are going sore searching for my Great Gran JANE COOK BORN LIVERPOOL 1882, on the 1911 census....
Shes the daughter of Elizabeth the doormat robber.....
I have tried every way i can think of of finding her and NO LUCK at all.
1901 shes 18 in Braemar St Kirkdale (with)
Dad Archibald Cook Bro.. Archibald Cook and brother William Cook.. Dad down as married no Elizabeth (wife) at home..
1911 in Everton...Dad Archibald 56 b Govan Scotland living with a Mary E 42, down as wife.married 10 years... no marriage can be found) daug Annie 7, Dau Elizabeth 4, both girls and wife born Lpool..
Brother Archibald born 1881 Lpool in Commercial Road Lodger..
Brother William born 1886 In Walton Jail Ships Scaler..
In 1912 she marries Alexander Wilson the lad next door to her in 1901.. both addresses still Braemar St.
Jane had a bay girl she named Elizabeth in 1903 Walton Workhouse Infirmary.. no fathers name on cert...she was 9 months pregnant when she married Alexander in 1912 with my Grandmother..so literaly ready to give birth 2 weeks later..
I have always wondered if Alexander was the true father of her first baby Elizabeth... but wouldnt marry her..there was rumours of twins born to Jane.. but i cant find evidence of this.. then shes pregnant with my Grandma and it takes Alex till shes ready to drop to marry her...in Sept 1912.
So in 1911 i should find Jane as Cook(e) born 1882 Elizabeth as Cook(e) aged 8ish and Alexander Wilson b 1881 somehwere around but i cant find any of them..
I believe her mother Elizabeth is still living and in an Institution as there are also rumours of Rainhill relating to her.. so her father Archibald has taken up with another woman.. i have his death cert and this so called wife Mary E registered it..plus theres no marriage out there for Archie .. this must be because he is still legaly married to Elizabeth...
I have tried to find Jane under Wilson too incase shes using Alex's name but nothing there...Alex could have been at Sea....
any suggestions...
