Need Help With Great Gran

Hi Gang trying my old Cook case again...

My eyes are going sore searching for my Great Gran JANE COOK BORN LIVERPOOL 1882, on the 1911 census....

Shes the daughter of Elizabeth the doormat robber.....

I have tried every way i can think of of finding her and NO LUCK at all.

1901 shes 18 in Braemar St Kirkdale (with)
Dad Archibald Cook Bro.. Archibald Cook and brother William Cook.. Dad down as married no Elizabeth (wife) at home..

1911 in Everton...Dad Archibald 56 b Govan Scotland living with a Mary E 42, down as wife.married 10 years... no marriage can be found) daug Annie 7, Dau Elizabeth 4, both girls and wife born Lpool..

Brother Archibald born 1881 Lpool in Commercial Road Lodger..

Brother William born 1886 In Walton Jail Ships Scaler..

In 1912 she marries Alexander Wilson the lad next door to her in 1901.. both addresses still Braemar St.

Jane had a bay girl she named Elizabeth in 1903 Walton Workhouse Infirmary.. no fathers name on cert...she was 9 months pregnant when she married Alexander in 1912 with my Grandmother..so literaly ready to give birth 2 weeks later..

I have always wondered if Alexander was the true father of her first baby Elizabeth... but wouldnt marry her..there was rumours of twins born to Jane.. but i cant find evidence of this.. then shes pregnant with my Grandma and it takes Alex till shes ready to drop to marry her...in Sept 1912.

So in 1911 i should find Jane as Cook(e) born 1882 Elizabeth as Cook(e) aged 8ish and Alexander Wilson b 1881 somehwere around but i cant find any of them..

I believe her mother Elizabeth is still living and in an Institution as there are also rumours of Rainhill relating to her.. so her father Archibald has taken up with another woman.. i have his death cert and this so called wife Mary E registered it..plus theres no marriage out there for Archie .. this must be because he is still legaly married to Elizabeth...

I have tried to find Jane under Wilson too incase shes using Alex's name but nothing there...Alex could have been at Sea....

any suggestions...

Hi Jane Cook & Alexander Wilson...

Daughter Elizabeth born 1903 Jane's address 59a Braemar St Kirkdale

Marriage NO DATE IN BOX but a letter came when we ordered this marriage saying clergyman at the time did not record the date of the marriage but from the preceding entries in the register the marriage took place between the 1st & 9th of Sept 1912.

Alexander Wilson age 28 Bach.. Occ Trimmer 146 Braemar St father John Wilson Ships Fireman..

Jane Cook age 25 address 56 Braemar St father Archibald Cook Occ Boiler Maker...she says aged 25 in 1912 this makes her born in 1887.. yet on the 1901 shes 18.. and when she died

Daughter (my gran) birth 29th Sept 1912 Address 146 Braemar St Kirkdale ( she could have been born at Alexander's parents house... 146 as this is where they are in 1911..

Witneses John McHugh & Gertrude McHugh

Brothers death 25th November 1918 Archibald Cook 35 years old address 75 Commercial Rd Jane Wilson sister registered his death aaddress 156 Braemar St Kirkdale..

Death 1918 April 11th Archibald Cook aged 59 workhouse widow Mary E Cook registered his death 46 Elias St Everton...

Jane died in 1979 aged 97 on her death cert it says she was born in liverpool 19th Aug 1882, but when anyone asked her how old she was she did not know..we cannot find her birth cert.. but i may look again at 1886-1888.. you never know..

I have just found a John Alexander Wilson aged 27 born Liverpool on 1911.. occupation a Joiner born 1884 lodging in Hector St Kirkdale.. mum said he made a cabinet that used to be in his house.. so he was good with wood.. i recon it might be him as Hector St was round the corner.

Maybe he was baptised John Alexander.. John being his dads name and Alexander being his mothers dads name..

Not sure now as at no 156 Braemar St theres a John & Esther Wilson and he had a brother named John i recall now.. so its looking like Alex & Jane may have been living with them after they married....were she was when her brother died..

Hi

Starting to wonder now about her birth year... i have always gone by her birth year from the 1901 census and her death certificate.. but if theres no birth registration for Aug 1882.. then maybe she wasnt born in 1882 and her marriage age is right after all.. this would make her aged 17 when she had first daughter Elizabeth in 1903.. :? prob i have is i have never been able to find Jane or brother Archibald or dad Archibald in 1891 to confirm her age that year...mum Elizabeth and her brother William are alone in Rosalind St next steet to Braemar St.. where they are i do not know..William was born in 1886... so she cant have been born then too...

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm what to do..

Hi Simone Dad Archibald came from Govan his whole family came here to Liverpool..

As i say this family seemed to be very disfunctional.. rumours too of Jane being in Cottage Homes Fazakerley..she told my mum this..

I think Archibald & Elizabeth were seperated.. the only time i see them together is 1881..

Talking about the 1891 census i cant find hubbys Great Gran and her parents either..i have her sisters birth cert Juliet St Kirkdale in August 1891 she was born at her Grans house..Gran there but not the others there name is BENSON like mine so not a difficult name.

Its like Elizabeth Cook Janes mum shes in Rosalind St Kirkdale 1891 and shes caught robbing doormats in 1894 appeared at Bootle Magistrates court so what ever happened by 1901 shes nowhere to be found.

I keep thinking if shes in some institution she could be under her initials on the 1901 E C which doesnt help...
