Yesterday's Daily Post carried another report of the closure of the Central Library for rebuilding etc. from summer 2010, but included no details of the consultation exercise. From the Council's website it appears that this may only be happening within the building.
Has anyone yet seen any consultation paper while in the library? Emails to the council have brought no reply yet.
It would be helpful to know what plans [if any] they have made for alternative premises/services.

The members of the Help Desk have also been asking questions, but as yet haven't been given any definite answers. They believe that records may well be housed around various libraries in the area so they can still be used, but there is a likelihood that items would need to be ordered in advance, perhaps as much as a few weeks.
I'm aware that time is moving on and we still have no real answers, but if I hear anything I'll certainly be passing it on to you all.
