Hi and welcome to the forum.
This site is mainly for genealogy rather than present day, however, if you are looking for more living relatives we have put some suggestions together, here

Is it something more than we already have in the link I gave? If so why not add it on, I know how difficult it is for people looking for living relatives, so every little extra helps especially as it's not necessarily a subject we specialise in on here - not that we wouldn't help if we could

Hi Graham
who knew them or their families
Would I be right in assuming that you are trying to find out about Evelyn and Thomas's parents etc
If so - this is your parents marriage
Thomas J Lea to EVELINE S Brown December qtr 1940 Bootle Volume 8B Page 717
Do you have copies of your parents birth certs as these will give their parents names and also their mothers maiden name. This information will help to trace their ancestry

This is your mothers birth registration and her mothers maiden name was Lewis
Eveline S Brown Mother's Maiden Surname: Lewis
March qtr 1922 West Derby Volume 8b Page 652
Possible marriages
John Brown and Ellen Lewis in 1916
Richard Brown to Ethel Lewis in 1915 (likeliest)
Do you know if either of these couples were your grandparents
These are her sisters birth registrations
Freda E Brown Mother's Maiden Surname: Lewis
September qtr 1916 West Derby Volume 8b Page 655
Dorothea Brown Mother's Maiden Surname: Lewis
December qtr 1918 West Derby Volume 8b Page 539
thanks

Thanks Carole for your reply
Had an aunty Ethel living in Bootle and my granmother as far as I can remember lived round the corner from her, whom we used to visit regular on a Sunday. Their was a factory on the corner,( a Toffee Factory?) and my granmother lived on a road/street on the right hand side which began with a (O), Olive ? also had an aunty Aida who hads a couple of daughters and lived near Southport, she was related on my fathers side.
Freda had two daughters, dorethy and Irene and a son named leslie.
Can't figure out how dots mothers' (Freda) maiden name was Lewis when mums' and dollys maiden name was Brown. Looking forward to your reply, Graham
Richard Brown to Ethel Lewis in 1915 (likeliest)

Hi Graham
I think you have mis-read my reply. Freda was BROWN and it was her mothers maiden name that was Lewis
These are her sisters birth registrations
Freda E Brown Mother's Maiden Surname: Lewis
September qtr 1916 West Derby Volume 8b Page 655
Dorothea Brown Mother's Maiden Surname: Lewis
December qtr 1918 West Derby Volume 8b Page 539
Is your reply confirming that your grandparents were Richard Brown and Ethel Lewis?
If so - you need to buy a copy of that marriage certificate to progress your ancestry further.
We need to know the names and occupations of Richard and Ethel's fathers and also how old Richard and Ethel were when the married to help us trace the right census entries. Their marriage cert will give us that information
The 1901 census has a number of Ethel Lewis/Richard Brown entries born in the late 1880's/early1890's so we need the info from the marriage cert to try and work out the right ones
If you are unsure whether Richard and Ethel were your grandparents then you need to buy a copy of Eveline's birth cert to confirm her parents names

Hi Graham
I was interested in your post about your family living in Bootle, can you give a rough date on when you visited your grandmother in Bootle, and you mention an aunty Ethel, do you happen to know her surname if she was married?
The Toffee factory was Williams's Toffee works, that was in Waterworks Street, I am puzzled with the street beginning with O beng near there, the only one that comes to mind is Olivia Street which is the other end of Bootle, more the Kirkdale end.

I suggested that Tina post the link since I wonder if there may have been more recent findings ie living people - which we wouldn't be comfortable about posting on this forum.
If this is the case, perhaps the other forum might be able to deal with current events, whereas this forum would be kept for historical research.
