Wondered if anyone going to RO , I would request look up please, if it's not too much trouble.

Church Marriage of Edward Roberts Lancashire bmd 2099LP/6/74 1859, to Ellen Jones
At St Davids, Liverpool.Hoping Edward a Butcher!,and Ellen from Angelsey.

If you could post details of which quarter it took place it would save a whole year to be searched.

Hi,

Sorry,have tried to find quarter-only got that Ref.

But I am now told that a PARISH reg ? LOOKUP of St Davids,Liverpool would be better.
I have searched Parish Clerks but didn't see any records for St Davids
Should I post again or what?
I given to understand this was a Welsh Church.

If you have a marriage from www.lancashirebmd.org.uk try on freebmd.org.uk to see if you can get the GRO reference which gives the person kindly doing a look up less to search. Both sites are free.

If you read through this post you will see what can be looked up or not. GRO refs aren't possible, only church registers, however, if it can be cross referenced with the GRO then it narrows down the search to a three month period instead of a whole year which can take time.

Don't bother posting again, I've checked the reference and the marriage took place during Q3 1859, so only July - September to search.

Edward Roberts - full age - Widower - Butcher - Horatio Street
Father - Cadwallader Roberts - Farmer
Ellen Jones - full age - Spinster - Edmund Street
Father - John Jones - Stone Mason
Both made their mark X
Witnesses - Thomas Owens X
Anne Owens signed her name
