Some help with streets and street names please

Hi all

I was fortunate to finally find my gt uncles service record on last weeks ancestry release.

It made very interesting reading and another 3 children to add to his ever increasing family which I never knew about.

Unfortunately he was killed in 1917 and his wife was left with 9 children.
I have been trying to find their addresses in my directories without success and wondered if anyone knows where they were.
I have the 1911 census which gt uncle Sam filled in, 32 Harding St
Harding Street is there but no.32 doesn't show up in the 1911 or 1914 directory!

In his service records, there are 3 other addresses ( have looked in 1911 & 1914 )
47Lissant St the street shows up but no number47
9 & 32 Morris St Everton in 1914 & 1915 doesn't list at all
5 Hop St off Falkner St in 1917 This address was written by his widow twice and I presume she means Hope St, but that seems rather unlikely as there is a dairy at that number. I can't see a Hop St anywhere.

The trouble is I know nothing more about the family after Uncle Sam was killed and it would be good to try and find out what happened to them and just living on 42/6d per week

Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Morris St - in 1930s map, a short street opposite the baths in Margaret St, near Mill Road Hospital.
HOP street is indexed in the same map in the same square as Falkner Street, Liverpool 8 but I cannot see it. There is a MALT St shown, and it may have been in the same cluster.

Hop Street - got it in a Godfrey Edition map (Edge Hill, 1908): at an angle to Malt St; parallel with and to the east of Harding Street; part of it backing on to the Phoenix Safe Works.

Hi Daggers

Thanks, just got my Alan Godfrey 1905 Edge Hill and found it exactly where you said.
I wonder why they went up to Morris St after Harding St and then moved back to Hop St which is behind Harding St?
Oh to be transported back in time and find answers to all these questions

Thanks again
