Aigburth/Toxteth boundary

Once upon a time Aigburth was part of Garston and ended at Aigburth Vale/Jericho Lane at its northerly end.
When did the 'authorities' start treating the Aigburth Vale to Dingle stretch as Aigburth?
The reason for asking is that for WW1 the War Graves Commission put detailed addresses for many of the fallen or their next of kin in their Debt of Honour Register, but for WW2 they seem to put 'Aigburth' with no details of road/street in many cases.
I am looking at the numbers of 'Aigburth' men and women recorded by CWGC, but cannot tell how many are from the old area and how many from the new. CWGC say they will answer my query on this in up to six weeks, but I know this Forum is quicker!
