Do you have other details for him or are you asking for look ups - ie censuses/marriages/baptisms for children etc.?

Hi Barbara
Spot on with marriage 1894 (2nd qtr)
It's listed in Lancs BMD at St Silas Tox Park
Hannah Shone to William Medlicott.
1901 census says Hannah was born in Lpool in 1869.

Hi and welcome
I think you need to be a little more precise about what you want. People are often willing to do look ups but they did need to know where the event took place to do a look up.
Have a look on
www.lancashirebmd.org.uk and see if you can find the marriage of William to Hannah. Barbara has found it took place in 1894. On the site I'm suggesting you may find which church it took place in. Once you have a church someone may be willing to do a look up.
You can look for the families in the census. Census was taken in 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1881, 1891, 1901, 1911.
The 1881 census is available for free on
www.familysearch.org
All the census (not 1911) are available on
www.ancestry.co.uk this is a paying website but if you are in the UK nearly all libraries ahve a subscription to Ancestry Library Collection and you can use this for nothing.
All the census are available on
www.findmypast.com this is also a paying website but you can buy a few credits.
All the census (not1911) are also available on
www.thegenealogist.co.uk

Our Education Officer didn't think that at all and many of our forum members are happy to help out where they can. But you should be aware of where you can find out information and it's a lot more fun to do the look ups yourself.

I think this might be John and Jane's marriage:
John Shone to Jane Bevin Jan - March 1859 at Our Lady's and St Nicholas and Saint Anne. (Wonder why they had to have so many saints!)
I also found Hannah as a servant in Toxteth Park on the 1901 census. Poor little thing, there were shedloads of Campbells for her to look after.
Hope this is some help if you haven't yet got access to all the censuses.

Hi folks
Barbara's marriage find in 1859 leaves quite a few years before the birth of Alice 1864.
I did find a John 22 lbr & Jane in Tox Park in 1861 with 2 kiddies Ann 1 & Thos 8mnths whom I can't find in 1871, perhaps the little ones had died?
Not having much luck with 1881.
Alice could be a servant in Garston & Annie (Hannah) in a home.
