Hi everyone, I'm trying to find out what happened to my grand uncle David Hamilton he was born David Woodward Hamilton 1884.(He didnt use woodward in his name in any records after that) I have found him on the 1901 census living with his sisters AnnJane and Elizabeth in liverpool but there is no record of him after this. I've looked for him on the 1911 census but nothing there. I'm wondering if he emigrated as he worked as a docker in liverpool. Any suggestions.

Hi

Looks like they were both living with their partners before they wed..was thinking that David could have been head of the house and they would have been living with him maybe, thats why i asked..

What was their fathers name.. i see there mother was Elizabeth

The Amelia Routledge marriage 1921 have you tried that one..

Hi,

There is an entry in FreeBMD for the death of a David Hamilton aged 51 in 1935. This would give him a birth year of 1884

|David Hamilton 51 Birkenhead vol8a page 598

Hi to all, thanks very much for all your imput. I found elizabeth and family in 1881 census ,she was living in 33 helena street with father andrew and mother elizabeth and brother Andrew (he died).

Thanks for the reference for david hamilton death 1935 it might be him but there was another david hamilton born 1884 living in toxteth park married to elizabeth leech in the 1911 census, he was born in oldham which i think is in Manchester? suppose i'd have to get that death cert but its becoming very costly.

many thanks.
