Hi and welcome to the forum.
You will find the records you need at the Liverpool Record Office, 4th Floor William Brown Street Library. I believe they have recently been filmed.
You may want to phone ahead and book a microfilm machine, at a cost of 50p for a couple of hour slot, however if you just take a chance then it's free.
Due to some work being done there may be some changes to procedures, so it might be best if you were to check. http://www.liverpool.gov.uk/Leisure_and ... /index.asp
If you are new to the Liverpool Records you might want to try to go on a Tuesday afternoon when the Society has a Help Desk.
Hope you enjoy our City.

Hi Mary A.
Thank you your most welcomed reply, Iwas led to believe the records was held by the church, so the LRO said at the start of the year.
I was bread and buttered in mountpleasant and the green pastures of clubmoor. Still miss it.
thank you
martinus

Well strangely I visited SFX only a couple of weeks ago during Heritage Week and phoned before visiting to ask if there was any chance of there being Parish Registers available and was told that they were all at the Record Office.
I did know a few years ago that the original register was there as I had the honour of browsing through it in the archive room.
PS if you get a chance to visit the church, it is beautiful.

Hi Martinus
One of our guests saw your post & asked me to tell you, she contacted the Lpool R.O regarding SFX and was told the records after 1936 are held at the church. She suggested you phone them, the priest was very obliging.
Cheers

SFX Baptism
Hi Tina.
So for not replying sooner, had a rest day yesterday
My sister in law in lpool went to LRO and checked SFX baptism records
From 1862 to 1867 for Hugh 1863 Margaret 1866 Michael jnr DOYLE 1867
she had no luck.
Phoned SFX church very helpfull said by right they should have been baptized in the church, that includes Michael doyle snr second wife alice keefe Married 1871 Sfx children Lawrence 1874-Joseph1881 because they
still lived in Kirkby st Everton in the 1870s.
May have been baptized in another church in the area.
thanks to you and the Guest for your help.
