Hi i wonder if anyone can help me, i am researching my family name Aindow and see that we originate from Lancashire and in1800s Walton on the Hill. Can anyone give me any information regarding what the place was like then, eg population, occupation, and general information about the area at that time.
Many thanks for you time

Hi and welcome to the forum. The area of Walton on the Hill, as Susan says, spreads out from St Mary's Church which was at one time the Parish Church.
For the sort of facts and figures you are asking about, this site has quite a bit of detail http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/LAN/WaltonontheHill/
