Does anyone know of a Thomas Gathley? He was a salt boiler from Great Budworth. His daughter Ann married Thomas and became Ann Rutter- an ancestor of mine. I have a copy of her wedding certificate Sept 1839 ST Paul's, Warrington it definitely says Anne Gathley and Thomas Gathley.. I can only find Gately. :o

I suppose that could have been the case- the names were written by the vicar, since they could only add a cross for their name. Incidentally I am a new member and this is my first posting. Should I have posted my question on another forum?
