Hi Vic
Looks like Wesley St which was in Tox Park.
Richard Pentecost was at number 46 in 1854 Directory.
As for listings by surname, the everyday working man doesn't get much of a mention, mostly trades/self employed.

Thank You

Hi Tina
Thanks for always taking your time to reply! Just wondered if Mary Ann Kelly was living with her family before she got married! Both her and William came from the Isle of Man -

I would say it was Wesley Street in the Upper Stanhope Street area.
Is the other one Llewelyn St?

They were both in the area of Princes Road, Upper Stanhope Street is still there.

Hello Victoria,
I realise this only rules out Mary Kelly living there in the 1851 census, but the house was occupied at that time by...
PENTICOST, Caroline - Head - Married - 32 - 1819 - Master Mariner's wife - Landeast, Cornwall.
PENTICOST, Caroline B A - Dtr - 5 - 1846 - Scholar - Liverpool, Lancashire.
There were two other people there, Elizabeth Rowe (transcribed Rawe), a visitor from Cornwall (possibly an unmarried sister to Caroline) and a house servant, Bridget Cronney, 28, from Ireland.
Dickiesam
Thanks

Hi Dickiesam - thanks for looking at Wesley Street for me. I wonder if you could help with Llewelyn St please? I am trying to find out where Thomas Halsal (Halsall) born 1796 in the Isle of Man was in 1851 and 1861 census - I have found him living in the Isle of Man in 1841 but no luck after that.
Thank you
