BOURNE Small businesses in LIverpool - shop look up

I am told that a relative of mine. GEORGE BOURNE, had a tobacconists shop in the Scotland Road area, top of Dryden street apparently. This would be approx late 1940s - late 1950s. Can any one verify this for me?

I am also told that another BOURNE relative had a chip shop in Walton Village, similar timescale. Would this be easy to verify?

Many thanks. Hope all well with everyone.

Hello again Jean,
I suggest you may have better luck in finding 'recent' rellies if you do a post or two here:
http://forums.icnorthwest.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=27

Do a post for each Bourne. You never know.
Good luck,
Dickiesam

Thanks

Hi Jean
If you go to this link in the forum, it will tell you who has Directories for the time frame you are looking for.
My last one is 1938 so not much help.
You can then pm the person and ask for help.

All the best
Tina

Hi Jean
Here's another great site which you may not know of.
I've contributed to the records, not that I was from Scottie Rd but the history of Italian families (ggpa born Naples)

Great reading.
