Can anyone please help me find this family in 1901 I am going round in circles
They married in Liverpool in 1894. According to Canadian census they went out there in 1907.
I can't find them leaving UK and can't find them in Liverpool in 1901 nor in Carlow where he came from in 1901 census.
Their last child was born in Liverpool March quarter of 1901. So I really think they must still be in Liverpool in 1901 census.
Many Thanks Germaine

Thomas Dear ( many ways of spelling it though this seems the way he spelt it) (Deare Deer Deere)
b about 1862 Carlow Ireland.
Wife Elizabeth born Ireland about 1862.
Mary (could be Mary Ann) born Liverpool 1895
Margaret born Liverpool 1901

Thanks Tina. I was beginning to go scatty. I was doing that to.
In the end just put eldest child in with no parents or surname.
Didn't think father could not be there.
I have found a Thomas again age wrong. Good heavens my Irish lot never got their ages right
This one is married living away from his family.
Just that it is has the name Dwyer with it not come across that.
Think I can now send for a marriage cert. hopefully it will give his occpation. This guy is a stevadore so could be from Liveprool is in Warrington. A lot of Liverpool lads there too.
I wonder if they have put Dwyer and then dear could it be his accent and they were confused with him. what do you think.
Thanks so much for your help.

Me again
findmypast have a Margaret Dear bn 1902 leaving Lpool to Quebec in 1904.
There is also a Mary Dear leaving same year, same place bn 1896.
E Dear adult female same details.
All 3 are listed twice for some reason.
1901 There's a Thomas Dwyer Dear at the Orford Barracks (which crops up often) he's married, a stevedore bn Ire but age is out, bn 1868.
Did they settle in Quebec?

Oh thanks Tina
Will look at that on findmypast. I must have missed them.
Yes they did settle in Quebec. I have them on the 1911 census there.
Oh their ages are so often way out.
I too was looking at the one in Warrington. But don't know where the name Dwyer comes from.
I may have been given the wrong dob but it supposed to have come from the Parish records in Carlow!.
Got to be right my cousin doesn't believe half of what I find if it doesn't match up with what he has.
Will get the marriage cert now and he can't argue with that
It must be the right marriage.
Thanks so much for your help.

Hi Germaine
Never mind about your cuz, just go with the flow as they say.
My Ed's Irish mob don't know where they were born or when.
All of us with Irish connections understand.
It could cost a few bob to look at findmypast.
Quebec is the sealer I reckon.
Perhaps Thomas was in the military & went to Canada before his wife and girls?
Wishing you all the best with this

Thanks Tina.
you are right about the Irish .
Yes am going to go with the flow. I know I am on the right track with this one.
That could be right that he went out on his own first.
I know he did eventually join the Canadian army again age!!!!
Yes costing a fortune am going to slow down on them.
just found his brother going out too in 1906 perhaps he went out to them.
He too couldn't get his age right.
Funny this one got no wife with him but she turns up by 1910 in when they are now in Chicago. But he does have his little girl with him.
Good job I have a cousin in USA that will help with that lot. Or I would be going bankrupt
Thanks for helping
