Hello, does anyone have access to registers please?
I am trying to find the birth of Lawrence Hanlon who on his marriage certificate gives his age as 28 so would be born around 1850. But I cannot find him in the index. So may not have been registered.
Was he baptised though??
His father is John Hanlon, born Ireland? Ithink its the correct one, as both Lawrence and John are looking glass makers.
There is a John in 1851 census with Agnes. No Lawrence though.
They seem to be in the Mountpleasant,Abercromby,St.Peters area.
Any help would be gratefully received, as sending for certificates can be expensive if they are incorrect.

May I suggest that you read this post about what can be looked up or not and how much information you need to provide since a helper could spend hours looking for a baptism without the relevant information.

On the 1881 & 1891 hes Lawrence O Hanlon is the O a middle name or is he actualy O'Hanlon ??

Living with him is what looks like his brother Joseph and his wife Margaret

Need to track Lawrence down in 61 & 51, theres a couple of Joseph's but can't see one with dad John a Looking Glass Mkr.

I am wondering if Lawrence could be the son of Agnes maybe she had him just before she met John..its a possibility seen as though we can't find his birth reg...

All we know about Agnes is she was born c 1821 in Newchurch is that Lancs as theres a few Newchurch places.. the 1851 doesn't say.. also she was a French Polisher ,,

Si i would assume her family maybe have also done this maybe thats a clue.. can't see a marriage for this couple..
