Ted and Lizzie Cooper

My older brothers & sisters swear that this family existed - I'm sure they did, but I can't find any evidence for them.
Mary Elizabeth Connor b. 1905 was my aunt. She is said to have married Ted (?Edward Cooper) and had Amy, Beatrice, Eileen, Fred, George, Joan and Teddy. They all lived in Liverpool - possibly Toxteth.
I can't find a marriage. Maybe they didn't get married. The children seem to have been known as Cooper, but could possibly be Connor. I can't find them as Connor either. Can anyone suggest a way forward for me please?
Oh - and if it helps - Beatrice had red hair!

Hi
There are several other births starting from 1928. I will send you a pm with details in case the people are still alive. However - beware - there is an 1828 marriage on Lancashire BMD between Catherine Connor and Sidney J Cooper so the children I have listed in my pm may be theirs

Hi Popsey
How do you know Mary Elizabeth was born in 1905? From a death cert?
Have you found her in 1911?
Edit:
Would your family know of Edward/Ted's occupation?
I've look in 1938 Directory, none in Tockie.
Thank you
Tina

Hi Tina
Many thanks for your interest. Sorry about the delay in responding - I've just got back from a glorious 2 weeks in the highlands of Scotland! Mary Elizabeth Connor was born on 12 March 1905. I got this info from Walter's army records where his dependants names, DOB's were listed. It was a really good find for me as until then I had been looking for Elizabeth Connor as she was always referred to as Lizzie. I hadn't found her on 1911 before my credits ran out, but will try some more when I renew them.
All I have been able to find out about Ted was that he was in the merchant navy.

Am I confused? it doesn't take much I know. Who is Walter please and would it help if we knew the list of dependents that were listed?
We have quite a number of links for websites about seamen on our Websites Board, in fact I posted a collection of them recently on this message, you might find them useful.

Whoops - sorry Mary, it's not you. I forget sometimes that not everyone is sleeping with these names in their heads like I am!
Walter Morrow b. 1883 married Mary Elizabeth's mother in 1910.
Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) b. 1905 and her sister Jane b. 1908 were the illegitimate daughters of Mary Connor.
Mary and Walter had Catherine Ann (Annie) Morrow in 1913.
All 3 were listed as Walter's dependants in his army records.
Thank you for the website info you refered me to about seamen. I'll certainly check them out.
