Dear Readers,

I am searching for information on a Jessie Robertson who was the daughter of Robert Matthew Robertson and Lucy Caroline Robertson (nee Anderson)

There are marriages listed for a Jessie Robertson as follows:
MURPHY George 1927
CLIFTON Cicil C 1928
STRICKLAND George 1931

Any information will be much appreciated

With thanks and Best Regards,

Hi Phil

Unfortunately - the first 2 of those marriage are shown as Register Office or Registrar Attended so the church is n/k and the marriage can't be looked up. That is often a sign that the marriage was in a Catholic church

The third one to George Strickland was at Emmanuel Church Fazakerley so if somebody is going to the LRO they may be able to look it up for you and confirm her fathers name

That marriage was in the September qtr 1931 and the 1911 census shows Jessie as aged 4

If she is the 1906 birth on freebmd - she had no middle name whereas the 1928 and 1931 marriage had a middle initial

Greetings to Tina, CaroleW and MaryA,

Thanks for the info and also for the good wishes - I very much appreciate them.

It is a nice feeling doing family history rather than being family history!

I certainly will contact the Echo to see if anyone can help.

:D

Best Regards,
