Looking for details of Edith Elizabeth Baillie

I would really love to have any information on my grand mother Edith Elizabeth Baillie.

Edith Elizabeth Baillie was born in West Derby in Liverpool in March 1913 and married my Grandfather William John Leece Sheard at Emmanuel Church in Liverpoolalthough they later divorced (though I don't know when) and they had two sons: William Douglas Sheard and Clifford Sheard. My Grandfther later went onto remarry and had two further children.

I would love to hear about Edith Elizabeth Baillie and would think it was Christmas if you had any details of her and her family.

What other information are you trying to find about Edith? are you trying to go backwards or forwards in time?

Do you have a copy of the marriage cert with their ages and respective father's names etc.

I am trying to find out anything I can - I know that her mothers surname was also Baillie and that she was unmarried. It makes me sad to think that I know nothing about my grandmother. My parents divorced when I was a small child and I never saw after that.

Hi

As your grandmother was born and married after the last available census (1911) you really need somebody who had personal knowledge of her (her children) to get a picture of her personality etc.

Are any of her children still alive?

What we may be able to help you with is her ancestry (ie) your great grandmother and her roots

Do you have a copy of your grandmothers birth cert showing her mothers christian name?

Do you know whether her mother married after your grandmother was born

My father died in 2004 and I have been unable to trace his brother Clifford Sheard. I have no other informaion other than that. I do not know anything other than what I have posted - very long shot I know

The only way to progress matters is to find out her father's name and occupation, and perhaps check who the witnesses were to the marriage.

Perhaps if you were to post a look up request for the LIverpool Record Office, somebody might be kind enough to check the marriage for you when they are next visiting.

William JL Sheard married Edith Elizabeth Baillie in the 3rd quarter of 1932 in Everton Emmanuel.

Failing that the details you will need to order the certificate from the GRO are, as above plus reference West Derby 8b 667.

Birth details for Edith E Baillie are Q1 1913 W.Derby 8b 590 Mother's maiden name Baillie.

Hi are you trying to find out about her mum's family, there wont be much to find out about Edith other than what you know already, only family member can give you that information..thats if she had died before you were born and never knew her..

All we can do here is try and find her mother and her mother family really..

Noticed a few Baillie's marrying at Emmanuel Everton are they all connected ?

It's only a long shot if you are going forward from your grandmothers birth/marriage as you would be dependant on finding Clifford to get info.

There is no death for Clifford between 1984-2005 on Ancestry but that doesn't mean to say he didn't die before or after those dates.

Was he at your fathers funeral? I am sending you a pm with 3 possible links to Clifford (phone numbers)

If you want to go backwards and find out about your great gran etc - we would need to know her christian name from your grandmothers birth cert

I see Clifford was born 1939 middle initial J.

Perhaps searching the electoral rolls on 192.com or tracesmart might help.
