Hi Jean
Please could you give some more info regarding your William?
There are a couple of Ripley places, do you have a time frame when he was there and county?
Do you know why he was in the hospital?
More information would be appreciated.

Best wishes
Tina

Hi Tina The info.I have is from my Grandfather datails from the infants asylum Melville Place Liverpool,7.
They were orphaned in 1879 when their mother died, their father had died in 1874.It said Williamborn approx 1866 Ripley Hospital Lancaster which was an orphanage.I have 1881 census for William as Ripley Hospital Lancaster. They also had a sister in the bluecoat and one being cared for with relatives. So sad that the siblings were all separated.I wonder if they ever met up again? Thanks for your interest Jean

Hi someone

This is the address of the solicitors who hold the records for Ripley Hospital.
They are very helpful and will send a copy of any documents they have if they are successful in finding them for you.

Your previous query Ripley Hospital gave some advice including a link by Dominex to another thread which gave the name of the Solicitors who held the records.
