Can anyone help with a marriage look-up?

I haven't been on this bit of the forum before so if I've got it wrong please accept my apologies.
I'm trying to find details of a marriage which took place in Wigan in 1844. Apparently the records are held at Wigan and Leigh records office. If anyone has the time I would be grateful for information on the following:
Peter Woosey to Mary Forshaw at All Saints, Wigan in the October - December quarter of 1844. I would particularly like to know the groom's occupation and of course anything else on the certificate would be useful.
Thanks in advance
Barbara

You could also use the www.lancashirebmd.org.uk website and order the certificate for £7.00 from the local Wigan & Leigh Register Office. This site is often more accurate than using the GRO references as the volunteers (many of them Society members) have checked the indexes against the original local registers

Thanks Glenys. If all else fails I'll do that.
