Liverpool RO tomorrow - any look ups wanted? COMPLETED

If things go to plan tomorrow (Monday) I will be heading to town and go to the Record Office.

If anybody wants anything please list on here and I'll try my bestest.

Don't forget -

Baptisms not births and you need to be reasonably sure of the Church.

Marriages need a church, year and if you can get the quarter from the indexes that would be a help too.

Burials, not deaths although you need the death date and to be fairly sure of the cemetery.

Hello Mary
I bet you know which marriage I'm going to ask for!
Could you possibly look up the marriage of Gabriel Frank to Mary A McLelland, June-Sept quarter of 1868 at Liverpool St Johns. That might help with tracing his birthplace via his father.
Thanks in advance
Barbara

Hi Mary, don't know if it's possible to do a look up for me as I only have the possible birth quarters.....June and Dec 1851! William Parkinson is the baby I'm looking for and suggested churches are St Thomas's, Seaforth and St Mary's, Derby Road, Bootle. His father was Thomas and mother, Mary Ann. This is the Rimrose Road, Orrell, family. I'd be very grateful for your help on this one but if there's too much to hunt through - not a problem! Many thanks, Pauline.

Hi Mary

I'd be really grateful if you'd look up this marriage at St Nicholas Liverpool (CE)
James Dutton to Cecilia Howard
1885 September Quarter or the reference from lancsbmd 2053LP/73/65 (Book 73 entry 65)

This one as well if that's not too greedy

St Mary Walton Sept Q 1904 lancsbmd ref 2012WD/19/304 (book 19 entry 304)
Charles Dutton
Annie Segar

Many thanks

Hilary

Barbara - taken a note of Gabriel, thought you would ask for him.

Pauline - taken a note and looked at Catalogue. I found that St Thomas's was listed but didn't find St Mary's so can't promise.

Not too greedy, Ed O, I don't have specifics for myself, plan to trudge through one old PR in search of some clues, so I suspect I will be glad of a few diversions.

I'll check the list again in the morning before I go and see if there are any more requests.

Hi Mary

thanks for the kind offer for look ups. I'm not sure if you can help with this one, but thoght I would try just in case.

I'm looking for the burial records for Aaron Samuels and Catherine Samuels. I don't, however know which church but I do have the dates of deaths and the addresses.

Aaron Samuels died 25/10/1921 at 147 Mill Road (home address 23 Parkinson Road, Everton)

Catherine Samuels died 23/10/1894 at 13 walton Breck Road, Everton.

Thank you,
Moyra

Hi Moyra,

With burials it's really the cemetery that is needed. Do you know which religion they were? If they were RC it would be easier but if C of E then I will try Anfield unless anybody has any better suggestions.

A couple of disappointments -

Moyra, You can cross Anfield off your list, I checked there, was going to also check West Derby but the reel I needed wasn't in the cabinet and I didn't have enough time to return to it later to see if it had been replaced.

Pauline, William Parkinson not baptised up to September 1853 at St Mary's, Bootle, I know there have been occasions when children have been baptised quite a number of years later, sometimes even in a job lot with other siblings, but I had to have a cut off date somewhere. Unfortunately St Thomas Seaforth wasn't in the cabinet.

I had fun, some of my own things were trudging through film so it was good to look for a marriage that was positively there and come out with some triumphs.
