Membership number

Hello all. I'm new to this site and have noticed that when people post a message or query, they add their membership number. Where do I find mine?

your number will be sent with your welcome package, it takes about 2-3 weeks....welcome to the greatest group of researchers around.

Hi Hippy Dippy (love it!) Welcome to a fabulous place!
I'm a newbie too but since joining the society I have learnt SO much from the super sleuths. I had my first ever trip to the records office two weeks ago. Oh.....My.... good grief - the stuff in there is awesome!!!!There is always advice on whatever problem you come across. Take time to look through past posts too.....specially the funnies on "Not genealogy". Good Luck with your hunting.

Hi Hippy Dippy - are you the same person I came across on Rootschat by the same name?
As for your question about membership, you will need to go to the Society page http://liverpool-genealogy.org.uk/ and there is a link down the left column for Membership Details. You can join online and your membership number will be emailed to you by the Treasurer, then when your journal arrives in the post you will also see your number on the outside of the envelope.
Hope you enjoy being a member of the Society.

Hi, sorry to be a pain!!!
I still haven't received my welcome package, I joined on the 24 March and it is now 18 April, does it normally take this long?

Drop an email to our Treasurer, sometimes he does them every two or three weeks in a batch.
Click the world icon at the top (newly linked to the main Society page by my request - pat on the back for Peter for arranging this) and then click the list of Officers to find Treasurer.
