My 3 x great grandparents, Thomas (bc 1771 Liverpool) and Ellen Harrison (bc 1768 Kirkby).are on the 1841 census at Eaton Street, off Vauxhall Rd. They are both aged 75. Living with them are James Harrison aged 38, Eliz Harrison 14, Ed Harrison 10 and Jane Harrison 6 . All born in Lancashire. Thomas and James were both Labourers. I assumed that James was Thomas' son b 1806 baptised St Pauls abode Leeds Street. All of Thomas and Ellen's other children were baptised there and some of the others had the same abode. I have not been able to find any marriage of James , except to Elizabeth Joynson and I do not think this is them (father and son of mine were Labourers) Also I cannot find the children. Eliz Harrison 14
Ed Harrison 10, Jane Harrison 6. Any help and magic please.

Not yet found anything but working on it, just wanted to say - have you noticed the family living next door? surely they must also be related?

N Harrison 30 Carter - could conceivably be an R - Richard?
Mary 27
Ed 3
Rd 8 months
all born in Lancashire

Yes it must be Richard - baptism at St Peters.
Richard Thomas Harrison on 9th October 1840 parents Richard and Mary, address Eaton Street, occupation Labourer

and I think this would be the older child
Edward Harrison on 15 January 1838, address Aytoun? Street, occupation Labourer.

Thanks Mary. Richard next door is my Great x 2 grandfather and his family. The whole family lived in Gascoyne St and Eaton St for best part of 100 yrs, until they were demolished. Much to my Grandmother's dismay. 34, Gascoyne St was a shop they owned in 1900s.

I suspect that the parents were Richard Harrison and Mary Wharton who married in St Nicholas on 1st April 1834, his occupation was a Carter and she was a spinster. Richard made his mark but Mary appears to have signed her name. The witnesses were William? Cardwell and Jane Harrison who also made her mark.

Do we possibly have a group of siblings - James, Richard and Jane?

Sorry if I seemed to have gone off on a tangent and given you details you already have, but I was trying to look all round the picture.
