Anfield Crematorium Records

Good Afternoon All
I have just been looking on Ancestry and found records for Anfield Crematorium. My Mum was cremated there in 1956 so was pleased to find a record of the event. However I was horrified to find the entry was wrong.
In the column headed Name, Occupation and Age was written Retired Electrician and age 73 and her name and address underneath.
She was a housewife and age 46.
After all these years is there anyway I can have this entry corrected? I can't believe such an error was made and am quite upset at seeing it.
Apart from that hope everyone is well and for those of us self isolating managing to find all this extra time to research.
Take care and stay safe
Cheers
Erika

HI Erika
Sorry to hear that this has upset you, but it's probably just a keying error by somebody tiredly typing in vast quantities of data, who knows they may even get paid by the keystroke.
There is a little drop down box to the left of the screen where you can make amendments, I've used it a few times but to be honest I've never gone back to see if they've actually amended anything, however your amendment does show up on the transcript page so that should be OK for other users to see.
Kind Regards Barbara

Perhaps I'm wrong, I read it as Erika means the handwritten entry on the actual record?

Would be better if we had the details and could check on Ancestry as well ourselves.

Thank you all for your replies.
Yes it was the original record I was looking at.
The record was under
England & Scotland , Select Cemetery Registers, 1800 - 2016
England - Merseyside - Liverpool Crematorium - 1956 29 Jun - 1957 22 Mar
My mumβs name Rose May Campbell.
I tried to insert the image on here without success, think things have changed since I last uploaded an image!
Thank you

Erika,
It's fine, just the way it's set out.

Sorry you've been upset by it Erika, sadly it's the way the original recorder/clerk has completed the entries leaving quite a large gap before the age and occupation making it look like it belongs to the one below. I would imagine they all look that way but you could enquire at the Crematorium itself to see whether they still have a copy of the Register and how it looks in that one.

Ah thank you, I see now whatβs happened. Should have studied it a bit closer!
You are all so good and quick to get to the bottom of things, thanks so much

Take care
