Hi Everyone

Can you help please looking for William Oliver Monahan 26th May 1926 Dundalk, Louth, Ireland - Death May 1984. Married July 1949 to Margaret Mary Divitt. I have tried to find his Birth to then establish his fathers name, possibly William, through Ancestry/Findmypast/and a few other Irish sites always drawing a blank. I did find what could be a brother (long shot) Patrick O Monahan Dundalk Louth 1931 Have a good trail after marriage but nothing before. There was also talk of a sister. If you could point me in the right direction I’d be ever so grateful.

I've looked around but it doesn't seem that anywhere online has records viewable for as recent as 1926 and as you will have seen the two Williams in the Civil Registration don't match. I wonder if you were to contact this site would they be able to help http://www.igp-web.com/Louth/church_records.html

Also would it be possible to enquire with the Register Office, as it would here, with the exact date of birth viewtopic.php?f=14&t=13912
