1861 Census, Lime Street hotel query

Post by daggers »

Walter Thomas (born c 1822) and his wife Hannah, with children, are listed at Lime Street, Liverpool, in the 1861 census. He is described as 'hotel keeper', but I can't work out what premises they are at. I think the listing is just after no. 57 Lime Street. Can anyone please work out which hotel they are at?
In 1851 he was a boot maker, in 1871 an emigration agent at Hull. [The children include W. Brandon Thomas, later to be famous as the author of 'Charley's Aunt'.]

Thanks

Walter Thomas was landlord of the Edinburgh Castle, 53 Lime Street per 1860 Gore's Directory.
