I am hoping for more information on Elizabeth TAYLOR who married Giles JOHNSON on 29 Jun 1818 at Holy Trinity Church Liverpool Lancashire. Witnesses C? Brown, Margaret Taylor. Giles was a bookkeeper and together they had 10 children, including my GG grandfather, Thomas Giles Johnson (also a bookkeeper) who migrated to Melbourne Australia in 1852.
I think Giles (residence Derby Rd Kirkdale) was buried in Walton on the Hill on 15 December 1849, and Elizabeth is shown as a widow aged 56 in the 1851 census, living at 24 Derby Rd Kirkdale, with five of her children. I cannot find reference to her in the 1861 census in this area.
Can anyone help me in my search for her parentage and her death? Margaret Taylor, a witness at her wedding was probably a relative.

Giles's death was announced in the Liverpool Mercury of 14 December 1849, Died on 12 December aged 58 at his residence in Derby Road.

Elizabeth died at her residence, Birkdale Park, Southport on 8 March 1872 aged 78 (Liverpool Mail 16 March 1872). Relict of Mr Giles Johnson, accountant. She was buried at Walton on the Hill on March 12.

According to the death announcement of her youngest son William Casson Johnson, her address in 1870 was The Willows. Aughton Road, Birkdale Park (Southport Independent and Ormskirk Chronicle, 10 September 1870).

In the 1871 census, a Margaret Johnson (presumably a daughter) is at The Willows . Elizabeth is up the road at Oak Vale with son-in-law Frederick M Jones and family. The "Johnson" bit is very faded and she has been transcribed as Elizabeth Jones.
