I'm trying to find out more about James Melvin who won a bravery award from the Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society for rescuing a man from Huskisson Dock (Liverpool Echo, Wednesday 5th May 1943). His address was given as 140 Gentwood Road Huyton. He was not listed at this address in 1939. Does he appear at this address in later directories or elsewhere? I think some members have post-war directories. I think this is the same James Melvin, rigger, scaffolder, who was living at 11 Rumney Road Kirkdale on the 1939 Register.

The only time he is listed is in 1939 at 11 Rumney Road West as a labourer. He's not listed in 1941 or 1943 when a John Gibson is at the Gentwood Road address.
