Parish records on sub sites

Hi all:)
Looking to take out a sub and just wonder how people find the availability of Liverpool parish records on FMP or The Genealogist as opposed to Ancestry? I have always gone with Ancestry due to the availability on there but just wonder whether the other sites are just as good these days.
Thanks
Simone

I think Ancestry is still the best subscription site for Liverpool related records. Don't forget a lot of Liverpool record images are now available to access on Family Search when signed in at home using a compatible browser. Mainly C of E registers but there are a few RC registers. Liverpool Workhouse records and Liverpool council cemetery records are on Family Search Ancestry does not have them. Nothing for the RC cemeteries such as Ford Cemetery though. There is also a large collection of Liverpool directories c1766-1900 on Family Search. See here for more details:-

Great:) Thank you Blue.
Hadn't thought about Family Search, haven't used that one for ages so didn't realise it had those records. I will have a look at your tips

.. thanks again

The reason for Ancestry having more Liverpool records than any other site is because of their exclusivity contract they had with the Record Office, which I believe is coming to an end soon. Because of this both Ancestry and Findmypast have been scanning lots of PRs, obviously seems they want to rival each other, probably well outweighing any other sites, even the cemetery records have been taken away by Ancestry until later in the year, for scanning and adding to their databases.
I think as ever, you need to delve into which counties you want most and then check the lists available on each site, and I'm sure the Genealogist must also have a free trial period like the others, but I don't believe they are serious rivals.
This is a list Blue posted earlier this year of parishes that had been added to Findmypast in one particular upload.
