St Chad's Kirkby - graves website

Post by Laura L »

Does anybody know what has happened to the excellent St Chad's Kirkby website, with grave transcriptions and photos done by Rosalind Lloyd? I hadn't tried to view it for ages but can't find anything now.

It looks like they have been an unfortunate casualty of site updates this comment on the website is from last June it looks like the problems are ongoing but they hope to put back everything that has been lost:-

"We’re currently in the process of moving and updating our website, which should make it much more up to date and responsive. Unfortunately, many of the links and images are now broken. I’m working to update this as quickly as possible. I’ll take this post down when it’s sorted.

Sorry!"

I e-mailed Ros about a gravestone I was interested in a few years ago. I've sent Ros an e-mail to ask if there's any news.

Ros said she sent a message about getting the records back up and she will contact them again.

Ros has contacted me to say ...

"Good news. In case you haven’t noticed, Jeremy has managed to get the website working again. Click on this link:

Hopefully, I will be able to update this again, fingers crossed."

That website address looks very dubious - a Taiwanese domain? It does load the page though.
