anyone have information about the bombing of the Windsor Castle public house on Walton vale L9, where there any casualties, also the road next to it Balmoral rd, numbers 1 & 3 are missing was this anything to do with the bombing, just a general enquiry really, thank you in advance for any information, steve

The raid was on 3 and 4 May 1941.

Just looking for names in the 1938 directory and cross checking a few against the list of civilian war dead, I can see that the butcher John Albert Moore at 5 Walton Vale was killed. There are probably more. There were 390 civilians killed in Liverpool on 4 May alone.
