Many Thanks

Te 1911 Gores Directory (which would be prepared during the year previously) lists Alfred Hazlewood at that address and at 48 Thornton Road was Joseph Henry Willis, a slater.

FMP has Electoral Registers 1832-1932
1911 entry for Nathan Rankin shows
RANKIN, Nathan
Place of Abode 8 Leicester Road
Nature of Qualification Dwelling House Successive
Description of Qualifying property 94 Thornton Road, 111 Clare Road, 8 Leicester Road.
I assume that this means that between the time of drawing up the Electoral Register and publication he had moved.
1912 shows Place of abode as 48 Thornton road and Description shows this address AND 8 Leicester Road.
Not sure that 94 and 48 Thornton road are different houses. Street numbers often changed.

Thank you so much...Yes they did live at 94 Thornton Road not sure for how long ...So the baby's death certificate is definitely there's...don't you just love it when the jigsaw falls into place I am so grateful thank you again...but please excuse my ignorance what is FMP...I am quite a novice at all this tracing of family...
Anglesey Lady...
PS I have a feeling that maybe Nathan's wife (my great aunt) might have moved to 48 Thornton Road to be with her mother because she had lost the baby and Nathan was at sea on the Allan liners...because she mother, sister and brother lived there as well....

FMP just an abbreviation for Findmypast.com which has terms and conditions that preclude our offering or requesting look ups on their site - so when we have information that may ultimately be available on there, we have obtained it from the National Archives. There's nothing to stop us recommending it as they usually offer a two week free trial.

Yes for some reason he used his mothers maiden name Rankin ...I did find the above as well...I also have his death certificate and he died aged 40 at 48 Thornton Road of TB which he had been suffering from for 4 years...
He had the same name as his father before he used the Alias..
Thank you so much for you help I am very greatful...
