St Domingo stonemasons

Post by JohnnyO »

Hi all, I was chatting to one of my colleagues today whose ancestors were originally from Liverpool. He was asking if there is any way to find out who the stonemasons were for St Domingo's.

His relatives were stonemasons and and lived in Everton, and he was wondering if they might have been involved in the building of it. The family surname is Nelson.

Thanks, John

I've no idea about the answer to this query but I have a feeling there must be a deal of information somewhere, perhaps about their Guild and the marks they left. Think this might be something you would need to investigate at the library, either under local history or occupations.

I'll be interested to know any more thoughts.
