Hi
Just received my first PDF don't think it is the right one but I am curious about it. It states he died at 126 Smithdown Rd which I know is the workhouse in 1925. The death was reported by a B H Holmes and it states occupier and his address is 126 Smithdown Rd. Would he be someone who works there? Also under rank or profession it states of 40 Chatworth St and of no occupation. If it was the right one I would be glad it had an address on it.
Thanks
Lin

This I believe became Mill Road Hospital, could he have been in there because he was ill?
1938 Directory lists Frank Allen at 40 Chatsworth Street.

Hi, I don't know if this will be of any interest to you, but my family lived at 40 Chatsworth st from, circa 1944 to the late 50s, my father ran a second hand shop and we lived above. To my knowledge it had always been a shop.
Regards Daisy

Thanks everyone for your help. I don't think this is the man I am looking for but I have a few possibles for him so I will send for another certificate and see if I am lucky. Daisy thanks for the information but as I say he's not mine it just had that address on the death certificate c 1925.
Thanks all
Lin
