Marriage of Patrick Joseph Madden and Sarah?

P.J. Madden was born in Southport in 1879/80 according to censuses, 1881-1911. In 1911 he was still single, 32, a stonemason, living with parents in East Street, Waterloo. His parents were both born in Belfast.
He served in the King's Liverpool Regiment in WW1, transferring to the Labour Corps. He died at home, 'of illness' in March 1918 aged 38 and the War Graves record shows he was buried at SS Peter & Paul, Gt Crosby; his wife Sarah lived at 52 Beatrice St, Bootle.
I have not been able to trace a marriage.
Can anyone help, please?

As ever, many thanks, Bert. I had searched on FreeBMD but have now been able to find the entry there, which was indexed as Maddan.
