Trade Directory look-up 1849

Just wondering if anyone can help this Bank Holiday Monday.
William Maddox of 25 Rose Hill, Everton, reported the death of Charles Maddox in 1849. There are a few William Maddoxes in my tree about this time and I am just trying to identify this one!
It would help if I knew whether he was a watchmaker or not.
Also, are there any other entries for a watchmaker called William Maddox at a different address? I have relevant census details - it is the trade entries I'm interested in.
This request is linked to another post I made a few years back - trying a different way-in this time!
Looking forward to hearing your ideas,
Glen

There doesn't appear to be a 25 Rose Hill, 1849.

You may have to log in, page 1479 for Maddocks/Maddox

No Maddox listed under the occupation of Watchmakers or similar.
In 1843, 1847, 1853 or 1860

Thanks everyone for your quick responses.
Not sure where that leaves me as far as Wm Maddox is concerned and I've looked again at the death certificate to see if I had misread the number 25 and no - can't see what else it can be!
i don't think Peter Maddocks has anything to do with me but I'll file this fact away in case his name crops up in the future.
I was intrigued to find the Trade Directories were on Familysearch - are other years on there too and if so, what record set do I type in to find them? Up to now, I have just clicked on the links you have given me and I've got straight in.
One final question: I was looking in the Directory for Ray Street and it wasn't listed - am I reading the name of the street incorrectly on the 1851 census?

Directories didn't list every road and street usually a selection based on what they thought their readers would expect to be covered or what information they were able to collect. I can't find Ray Street covered around that time in the directories. M'Corquodale's Directory 1848 mentions it but has no listing:-
