Death at Sea

I am looking to find the death at sea of Karl Anderson b.c. 1880 Sweden, married 1905 St.Andrews, Litherland to Nora Rebecca Barton, had son b.c. 1907, daughter bc.1910; by 1911 his wife is living Bootle, widow, with her two children, and her widowed ma. So poss dates for his death 1909 to 1911.

Sorry nothing seems to fit. You can search the index on Findmypast without having a subscription.

Nothing with that exact spelling on the Crew List either.

Hi big g If it helps there is a seaman's record (CR10) on FMP with the following - Karl Anderson dob 27/04/1878 Gothenberg Sweden Dis A No 556716. There is also a photograph of him.
There is also a death recorded on "Deaths at Sea" - Ship Bellas 138081 - 14/12/1915 English Channel
Karl Anderson real name Karl Burgeson age 30 seaman Gothenberg Sweden - last abode Scandinavian Sailors Home London - lost overboard in gale. Hope this is what you are looking for. yappie

Interesting; think I found he was born "Goteberg" - could this be the same as "Gothenberg" I wonder?
He really is a mystery.
I am researching this chappie for a friend. 1911 census for his wife, states her to be a widow. Maybe he had just left her.
Your find is something for me to work on.

Good find Yappie, yes it is spelled Gotenborg on the image.
