seeking the HORROCKS root

"Our" Ann PLIMMER (nee HORROCKS) died in 1861 aged 73 as per death cert - on census listed as born in Hindley - married in All Saints, Wigan in 1810 and speculate her baptism on 13 Sep 1788 at St Mary the Virgin, Leigh, Lancashire as the daughter of William Horrocks & Martha of Hindley

From looking at other baptisms I speculate William HORROCKS married Martha LYON on 02 Jun 1782 at All Saints, Wigan, Lancashire and I'm guessing they died some time after 1801 but before the 1841 census - maybe they were non-conformist and that's why I'm not finding burial records for these two!?!

I was hoping someone might have done a one name study on this branch - like that featured on WDYTYA when Jane HORROCKS was researching her ancestry - no such luck !!! lol

Thanks for reading my little post!

;-)

Have you made contact with the two members also researching the name in our Members Interests, perhaps they might be able to help.

https://www.liverpool-genealogy.org.uk/ The search is in the Members Only section.
