Manchester families in Liverpool (West Derby)

Just been browsing free BMD. Searching for surname MANCHESTER between 1877 and 1897.

I expected to find them all on my tree, but no!! The first problem was apparently twins Letitia and Louisa Manchester b 1895 on West Derby 8b 1009. This does not show up at all on ancestry, so I would like to know if any one can find their parents.
The second one was Mary Jane Manchester died 1897. I found a reference to her on Ancestry and found her on 1891 census in Liverpool b 1848 with a husband John b 1839. I cannot find suitable parents or a marriage for them. Thanks

Lynne,

Letitia and Louisa, West Derby 8b 1009 are marriages, not births.

The reference you give is for a marriage of Letitia Manchester in 1895. If you look at the actual image of the GRO index you will see there is only a Letitia no Louisa.

Looking at http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk you will see that Letitia married a David Carson and the marriage was either at West Derby Register Office or was a Registrar attended marriage ie Non Conformist or RC.

The 1891 census for John and Mary Jane Manchester shows brother in laws in the household called Day.

http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk shows that a John Manchester married Mary Jane Day in 1886 in Holy Trinity Church Liverpool

Thanks both. I have married 1 member of my tree to Mary Jane Day. John was living in Rose place with his parents from the 1851 census. That is the address given on Lancs OPC when he married. I will see if Letitia fits in anywhere, but only 1 of my Manchesters lived in Manchester.
Thanks again :(
PS I think I must be away with the fairies today. I know green = marriage. Thanks for correcting me.

Right. Letitia appears to have arrived from nowhere. The only person of that name was born in 1846 in Portsea. Now I can go with her being born there as it is a port, but in 1846. She would have been nearly 50 when she married and according to the 1901 census she had a child in 1898. Help

Oh, she might have been married before. Forget it. Looking at the census she was aged 26 and born in Ireland. I will carry on. Tried family search ... still no luck.

Thanks , I can't find "James Henry Lord Manchester" in my tree, although with James and Henry both are names used throughout the family. I will look in the relevant census to find hid parents. Wish me luck.

FOUND THEM!! William Manchester b 1829 in Liverpool. Married Frances Lord 1863. William had moved to the Manchester area as a child with his family as he is there in 1841 census.

Thanks for your help. That will keep me quiet for a few days now.
