Hello
I would be pleased if someone would be able to look up the Marriage of Mary Ellen Hannigan and Olaf Johansen in the December Qtr of 1909 at St Michael in the City Church, Upper Pitt street, Liverpool 1.
Thank you

I think you may have to purchase the certificate to see the record of this marriage as St. Michael's was bombed during World War Two and lots of records were destroyed.

The marriage is on Ancestry but it only gives information for you to buy the marriage certificate. It was in Oct-Nov-Dec quarter 1909. The district is Liverpool and it is volume 8b page 88.
Hope this helps

That church was one I wanted to check for a marriage last week so it is fresh in my mind that I can confirm what Karen says above, there are no Parish Records available for St Michaels in the City, you would only get an official certificate from either St George's Hall or www.gro.gov.uk

Hello Mary and all who replied to my message
I have now ordered the Marriage Certificate from Liverpool City Council via Lancashire BMD Website. It is the first time I have ordered this way but it was online so I will see how I go. They say 15 days plus another 7-10 to get here to Oz. I have used GRO Southport in the past.

Pat Berry.
