Don't know if this is any help in your wider search. I have Ann Pye B 1808 marrying Timothy Manchester b 1807 (possibly Skelmersdale) in Ormskirk in 1928. I have not searched any further on Ann though. Don't even know where she was born.

did you mean 1828?

Plimmerian. I will forgive you anything if you post little nuggets that I had not found, such as the burial of 18 year old Timothy. I have as being 20 in 1859, but what is 2 years.

I am sorry to high jack this post, but if you could give me some ideas on how to find my Ann Pye 's parents. She was born c 1808, which would make her 20 on her marriage in April 1828 (at Ormskirk) both from Bickerstaffe at this time. She was not indicated as a minor, so I don't think it would be latter than this. One of the witnesses was a Henry Pye. I presume this to be her brother.
Any help would be most helpful. Thanks
